So many times, we watch our favourite international celebs in movies and tv Shows, yet we have no idea what their full names neither their backgrounds . So to ease the suspense, here are their real names and a bit of insight into their Nigerian Background.
(1). Osunsanmi Olatunde , A film and television producer who graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. His first appearance in the industry was with a short film he wrote and directed, entitled Etat. The feature explored the 1970s political climate of his native Nigeria.
He went on to direct and co-pen the low-budget horror film The Cavern, before being approached by Universal Studios to helm, produce and write the alien-invasion/horror flick The Fourth Kind. The film was critically panned due to fabrication of evidence and other controversies In 2013, he helmed the serial killer film Evidence
He has since sieged to directing episodic television; such as installments of Under the Dome, Eric Dana’s The Last Ship, Halle berry’s Extant and Falling Skies.
(2). Hope Olaide Wilson was born on August 16, 1985 in the UK as Hope Adjoko Olubunkonla Olaide Wilson. She is an actress and producer, known for I Can Do Bad All by Myself(2009), After the Dark (2013) and Faith and Dreams(2010). In The Last Ship she plays Bertrise is a civilian aboard the USS Nathan James. She was rescued from a fishing boat near Jamaica and was the sole survivor of the virus that killed the rest of the boat crew, which were members of her family (who were also from Jamaica). Bertrise has a natural immunity to the virus, which surprises Dr. Rachel Scott. Dr. Scott uses a sample of Bertrise’s blood to manufacture the virus cure.
(3) Richard Ayoade is a British-Nigerian man who was born to a Nigerian dad and a Norwegian mum. As a popular face on British TV, the 36-year-old comedian made his Hollywood debut last year in ‘The Watch’ comedy. His last name singled him out of other as Ayoade is a popular name from the Yoruba tribe.
(4) Donald Faison , born Donald Adeosun Faison is a popular Hollywood actor who hails from the Yoruba tribe., He was born to a Nigerian father and an American mother on the 22nd of June, 1974.He is a popular comedian who came into limelight in the ABC comedy film Clueless.
He has 2 siblings namely Olamide Faison and Dade Faison.
(5) Hugo Weaving: The actor who played the role of Agent Smith in Matrix is a Nigerian.
He was born at UCH (University College Hospital in Ibadan) to expatriate parents.
